Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB Graphite – Unlocked (Renewed)
The iPhone 12 Pro stands out for its balanced combination of performance, camera quality, and unlock flexibility, making it a top choice among renewed options. Compared with the iPhone XR, it offers a more advanced processor and better display, though it lacks the newer camera features of the iPhone 15. However, those seeking a pristine appearance or the latest features should consider newer models. Pros: Unlocked for any carrier; High-quality camera and display; Powerful A14 Bionic chip; Supports 5G connectivity. Apple iPhone XS Max, 64GB, Silver – Fully Unlocked (Renewed)
The iPhone XS Max delivers a big 6.5-inch display at a lower price point than newer models like the iPhone 15, making it ideal for those who prioritize screen real estate. Unlike the iPhone 12 Pro, it features an older A12 Bionic chip, which may lag behind in intensive tasks, but still handles everyday apps well. Its 64GB storage is modest but sufficient for casual users, and full unlocking ensures compatibility with any carrier. The device passes battery health tests with at least 80% capacity and has minimal cosmetic wear, though it may show slight signs of use. It’s best for users who want a large-screen iPhone without paying premium prices, but it’s less suited for those needing the latest features or maximum storage. Pros: Fully unlocked; Large 6.5-inch display; Tested for battery health; Includes certified charger and cable. Cons: Slight wear possible; Limited storage capacity; No headphones or SIM included.

Its battery life reaches up to 26 hours of video playback, and its sleek design complements its advanced capabilities. However, it’s not water resistant, and being renewed, it might have a limited warranty. This pick makes sense for users who want the latest processors and safety features but don’t mind sacrificing some water resistance. It’s less suitable for those needing a rugged device or planning to use MagSafe accessories. Pros: Fast A16 Bionic chip; 48MP dual-camera system; Long battery life; Advanced safety features. The iPhone 16e offers a standout 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, perfect for media consumption, with a sharp 2532×1170 pixel resolution. Its A18 Bionic chip and 8GB RAM ensure speedy performance, comparable to the iPhone 15 but with a more vibrant display. Unlike the iPhone 12 Pro, it lacks water resistance and a physical SIM slot, relying on eSIM, which could be limiting for some users. Its 4005mAh battery supports wireless charging, making it a flexible choice for everyday use. This model is best for users wanting a premium display and performance without paying top dollar for the newest models, but those who prefer a physical SIM or need water resistance should skip it. Pros: Excellent OLED display; Fast A18 processor; Unlocked for multiple carriers; Good camera system. Cons: No physical SIM slot; No water resistance; Limited warranty potential on renewed units.

Apple iPhone XR, 64GB, Black – Verizon (Renewed)
The iPhone XR provides a decent-sized 6.1-inch Liquid Retina LCD display and a solid A12 Bionic processor, making it a good option for everyday use on a budget. It’s locked to Verizon, unlike the other unlocked options, which could restrict flexibility. Its 64GB storage fits basic needs but may be limited for media-heavy users, and the device includes a genuine charger and cable, reducing the need for extra purchases. The battery is tested to have at least 80% capacity, ensuring decent longevity. Compared to the older iPhone SE 2nd Gen, it offers a larger display and Face ID, but it’s less compact and may lack some newer safety features. It’s best for Verizon users or those who want a reliable, relatively recent iPhone at an affordable price, but it’s less ideal for users needing unlocked or water-resistant devices. Pros: Large LCD display; Reliable A12 chip; Tested battery health; Includes charger and cable. Cons: Locked to Verizon; Limited storage; No water resistance.

Apple iPhone SE 3rd Gen, 64GB, Midnight – Unlocked
This model stands out for packing the A15 Bionic chip into a small, durable body, making it ideal for those who prioritize performance and portability. Compared to the iPhone 12, the SE 3rd Gen offers faster processing but has a smaller 4.7-inch display. Its IP67 water resistance adds durability, yet its 64GB storage may fall short for users with large media libraries. Perfect for those who want a powerful phone in a compact size, but not suited for photo enthusiasts or heavy storage needs.
Pros:- Powerful A15 Bionic chip offers fast performance
- Compact size fits easily in one hand
- Water-resistant design (IP67) adds durability

- Camera:12MP Wide, 7MP FaceTime HD
- Connectivity:5G capable
- Water Resistance:IP67

Our verdict“This is an excellent choice for those who want a small but fast phone with durable design, but not for storage-heavy or photography-focused users.”
Apple iPhone SE 2nd Generation, 64GB, Black – Unlocked (Renewed)
The iPhone SE 2nd Gen offers a reliable, familiar design with a Home button, making it accessible for first-time smartphone users or those comfortable with Touch ID. Compared to the newer SE 3rd Gen, it features a slightly older A13 Bionic chip, meaning marginally lower performance, but still capable for everyday tasks. Its 64GB storage and minimal cosmetic damage make it a solid, low-cost choice, especially for users who don’t need the latest features. However, it lacks 5G support and has a simpler camera setup, limiting advanced photography. Ideal for beginners or those on a tight budget who want a proven Apple experience, though not suitable for power users or those seeking faster network speeds.

- Storage:64GB
- Color:Black
- Network Compatibility:GSM and CDMA

Our verdict“It’s a dependable, user-friendly choice for budget-minded newcomers, but less suitable for tech enthusiasts seeking the latest features.”
Apple iPhone 12, 64GB, Black – Unlocked (Renewed)
This iPhone 12 offers a more modern design and 5G capability, making it a step up from the SE models for users who value faster network speeds and a larger display. Compared to the iPhone SE 3rd Gen, it has a superior OLED screen for richer visuals, but it features an older A14 Bionic chip, which means slightly lower raw performance. Its 64GB storage might be restrictive, especially for media-heavy users, but the device passed diagnostic tests with minimal cosmetic issues. It doesn’t include headphones or a SIM card, similar to other renewals. This pick is ideal for those who want a modern-looking, 5G-capable device without paying full retail price, but not for users who need maximum storage or the latest processor.

- Storage:64GB
- Display:6.1-inch OLED
- Camera:12MP Dual Rear, 12MP Front
- Carrier Compatibility:Unlocked
- Condition:Renewed
- Battery Capacity:Minimum 80%
Our verdict“This device suits users who want modern features and 5G at a budget, but storage and performance may be limiting for some.”

It’s unlocked and compatible with multiple carriers, making it flexible for different users. However, it does not include headphones or a SIM card, and the battery capacity, while guaranteed at 80%, might decline over time. It also lacks water resistance, unlike some earlier models. Our verdict“This device is a solid choice for those who want a recent, well-equipped iPhone on a budget, but not for those needing water resistance or extended battery life.”
Apple iPhone 15 Plus, 128GB, Black – Unlocked (Renewed)
This iPhone 15 Plus stands out for its large 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display and the A16 Bionic chip, offering top-tier performance and vivid visuals. Compared to the iPhone 14, it adds satellite emergency features like SOS and Crash Detection, making it a safety-focused upgrade. Its dual 48MP cameras enable high-quality photos, and the sleek design uses durable aluminum and glass. The device is compatible with multiple carriers and runs iOS 16. However, it’s a renewed device, so warranty and battery longevity might be limited. It also lacks a headphone jack, which could be a drawback for wired audio users. - Premium price for a renewed device
- No headphone jack
Best for: Tech enthusiasts seeking the latest design, large display, and advanced safety features at a reduced price.
Not ideal for: Budget-conscious buyers or those prioritizing water resistance and maximum battery health over cutting-edge features.
- Display:6.7-inch Super Retina XDR
- Storage:128GB
- Processor:A16 Bionic
- Camera:Dual 48MP + Ultra Wide
- Battery Life:Up to 26 hours video playback
- Features:Emergency SOS via satellite, Crash Detection
Our verdict“This model is perfect for users who want flagship features and a large display at a more affordable price, but it’s less suited for budget-sensitive buyers.”
Apple iPhone 12 Mini, 128GB, Green – Unlocked (Renewed)
This iPhone 12 Mini stands out for its compact size without sacrificing core smartphone features, making it perfect for users who want a smaller device. Compared to the larger iPhone 13, it offers easier handling and pocketability, though at the expense of slightly older hardware and a less advanced camera system. The unlocked design provides flexibility across carriers, and the battery health test ensures reliable performance. This pick suits those who prioritize portability and budget-conscious buyers willing to accept some cosmetic wear.
Pros:- Unlocked for use with any carrier, offering great flexibility
- Battery tested for at least 80% health, ensuring decent longevity

Cons:- Does not come with headphones or a SIM card, adding extra cost
- Renewed device may have minor cosmetic imperfections, not pristine like new

- Battery Capacity:Minimum 80%
- Includes:MFi certified charging cable
- Condition:Renewed
Our verdict“This compact, unlocked iPhone 12 Mini offers a great balance of portability and affordability for users who prioritize size and flexibility.”

- Warranty:90-day return or refund
Our verdict“This iPhone 13 strikes a good balance for buyers wanting a recent, reliable, and affordable refurbished device without the premium price.”
Apple iPhone XS, 256GB, Space Gray – Unlocked (Renewed)
The iPhone XS combines a stunning Super Retina OLED display with HDR, dual 12MP cameras, and Face ID, making it a compelling choice for those who want premium features without paying full price. Its powerful A12 Bionic chip delivers smooth performance, and the 256GB storage is ample for most users. Compared to the iPhone 11, it offers a more vivid display and a compact 5.8-inch form factor, though it lacks water resistance, which may be a concern. - Storage:256GB
- Color:Space Gray
- Network:Unlocked
- Battery:Tested for minimum 80% capacity
- Water Resistance:Not water-resistant
Our verdict“The iPhone XS offers high-end display and camera features in a compact package, suitable for users valuing visual quality over water resistance.”

Factors to Consider When Choosing Budget Iphones Renewed
When choosing a renewed budget iPhone, several factors can influence your satisfaction and long-term use. Beyond the initial price, considering hardware performance, software updates, and device condition helps avoid future frustrations. Understanding these factors ensures you pick a model that truly fits your needs without overspending or sacrificing essential features.Performance and Hardware
Even within budget options, hardware quality varies. Focusing on models with recent chipsets ensures smoother operation and better future software support. Avoid older models with outdated processors, which may struggle with new apps or updates, leading to frustration over time. A balanced approach is to select a device with a processor no more than two generations old.Screen Size and Display Quality
Screen size impacts usability, especially for media consumption or gaming. Larger screens like those on the iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 Mini offer a more immersive experience, but may compromise portability. Display quality is also key—retina displays with higher resolution make a noticeable difference in clarity. Decide whether size or display quality is more important for your daily use.Camera Capabilities
Camera quality varies widely among these models. Higher-end options like the iPhone 12 Pro or XS Max provide more advanced camera systems, including multiple lenses and better low-light performance. Budget models like the iPhone SE 3rd Gen have simpler cameras, suitable for casual photography. Consider how much you rely on photo quality to avoid disappointment.Battery Health and Longevity
Refurbished devices can have varying battery conditions. Always check for a recent battery health report or opt for sellers offering battery replacements. A poor battery can significantly diminish daily usability, even if the device itself is in good condition. Investing in a certified renewal with a new or healthy battery often saves money in the long run.Warranty and Seller Reputation
Buying from reputable sellers with certified refurbishments reduces the risk of hidden issues. Look for warranties or return policies that cover potential defects. This extra layer of protection is especially important given the variability in refurbished devices. A reliable seller can also provide better customer support if problems arise after purchase.Frequently Asked Questions
Is a renewed iPhone as reliable as a new one?
Renewed iPhones can be just as reliable as new devices if purchased from reputable sources that perform thorough refurbishments and offer warranties. These devices undergo testing, repairs, and replacements where necessary, which helps ensure quality. However, since they are pre-owned, it’s wise to verify the seller’s refurbishment process and warranty coverage to avoid unexpected issues later on.
How long will a renewed iPhone typically receive software updates?
Apple generally provides iOS updates for iPhones for about 5-6 years from their original release, regardless of whether they are renewed or new. For example, an iPhone 12 or newer model will likely receive updates through at least 2026 or 2027. This means choosing a slightly newer model can extend software support and security patches, which is an important consideration for budget buyers looking long-term.
Are there significant differences between refurbished and certified refurbished iPhones?
Certified refurbished iPhones are typically inspected, tested, and restored to meet strict quality standards, often with a warranty included. Non-certified refurbishments might be cheaper but can carry more risks like hidden damage or poor battery health. For peace of mind, prioritizing certified options is generally a smarter choice, especially when buying on a budget.
Can I get a renewed iPhone with a warranty?
Yes, many reputable sellers and Apple itself offer warranties on renewed iPhones, often ranging from 90 days to a year. These warranties cover hardware defects and sometimes battery health, providing a safety net against post-purchase issues. Confirm warranty details before buying, as coverage varies between sellers and models.
What should I check before buying a renewed iPhone?
Always verify the device’s condition report, including battery health, screen condition, and overall functionality. Confirm that the device is unlocked or compatible with your carrier. It’s also important to check the seller’s reputation, return policy, and whether the device has been refurbished by Apple or a certified partner. These steps help ensure you get a reliable device that meets your expectations.
Conclusion
Choosing the right renewed iPhone depends on your priorities. If you want the best overall performance with modern features, the iPhone 12 Pro offers a solid mix of power and camera quality. Budget-conscious buyers or those new to iPhones should consider the iPhone SE 3rd Gen for simplicity and affordability. For those seeking the latest technology, the iPhone 15 provides future-proofing, albeit at a higher cost. Overall, evaluate what features matter most—performance, size, camera—and select a model that aligns with your needs and budget.
